Former GB3 And GB4 Co-ordinator Gemma Mole Takes Up New Team Role At Hillspeed

Hillspeed is delighted to announce former GB3 Championship and GB4 Championship Co-ordinator Gemma Mole has joined the Markham Vale squad to take up the newly created position of Operations Manager and Team Co-ordinator, effective today Tuesday, 3rd March.

Marking a significant moment for the GB3 and GB4 Championship partnered by the BRDC race winners and title challengers, the arrival of such a vastly experienced co-ordinator and administrator into the Hillspeed family brings a major enhancement to the team’s structure and day-to-day operations.

Other than a brief break away from work in 2022, since 2013 Gemma has been a vital part of the MSV [MotorSport Vision] organisation and a driving force for its premier single-seater categories. After being invited to co-ordinate MSV’s then brand new BRDC F4 series in 2013, Gemma remained in post through the championship’s various guises – BRDC F3, British F3 and, ultimately, GB3.

In 2023 she rejoined MSV to become Co-ordinator of both GB3 and GB4, helping to guide both championships to become the massive success stories they are today on the single-seater racing ladder towards Formula One.

Importantly, racing is very much in the blood. Gemma’s parents were both racing drivers in their own right and her father owned a racing team when she was growing up. Helping out where she could, the squad competed successfully within Formula Vauxhall, Formula First and Formula Ford.

After completing her college Business Studies course in 1998, Gemma proactively got in contact with Brands Hatch and started working within the circuit offices where she then operated across multiple departments over the subsequent years. When MSVR [MotorSport Vision Racing] was established in 2006, Gemma moved to work for that arm of MSV’s operations.

Richard Ollerenshaw – Hillspeed Team Principal:
“On behalf of Morgan [Ollerenshaw] and the rest of the team I want to say how absolutely delighted we all are to have Gem onboard in the newly established role of Operations Manager and Team Co-ordinator. This is something we’ve wanted to achieve for the team for a long time, so when Gem left MSV at the end of last year we worked quickly to secure her services as she is the perfect person for such a busy and important role.

“Gem’s involvement will significantly enhance the team’s operations and day-to-day running, with responsibility for testing and racing bookings for both GB3 and GB4, travel and accommodation requirements, and she will generally oversee the smooth operation of the team. This really is a big step forward for Hillspeed, I honestly couldn’t be happier with her appointment.”

Gemma Mole – Hillspeed Operations Manager and Team Co-ordinator:
“Hillspeed is exactly the type of team I saw myself working for when I decided to step away from championship co-ordination at the end of last year. Through my role with MSV I’ve been working with Richard [Ollerenshaw] and the team since BRDC F4 was established all those years ago, and they really are the perfect fit for me.

“I’m obviously extremely grateful for my time working with MSV and all of the fantastic people there, and now I’m incredibly excited to have the opportunity to be Operations Manager and Team Co-ordinator at Hillspeed – one of the most respected and successful teams in national motorsport.”

Official pre-season testing for both GB3 and GB4 will begin on Tuesday, 10th March, at Snetterton 300 Circuit in Norfolk. The annual Media Days for both championships will then take place at Donington Park on Wednesday, 18th March, and Thursday, 19th March. Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit will host the opening three rounds for both categories over the weekend 25th/26th April.
