The UK's premier single-seater category
Hillspeed has been part of BRDC British Formula 3 since the championship’s maiden season in its current guise in 2016, one of the first teams to confirm its involvement in the new era of top line F3 racing in Britain.
Becoming podium finishers in the team’s second season in the UK’s national F3 category, in 2018 Hillspeed’s outstanding driver development was confirmed when Sasakorn ‘Cutter’ Chaimongkol and Jusef Owega ended the season as the top two rookies.
The following year, Nico Varrone became a BRDC British F3 race winner with Hillspeed at Spa in Belgium – only his fifth race in the series – and Chaimongkol achieved his first victory at Silverstone GP Circuit. In 2020, Oliver Clarke starred in his debut F3 season with multiple podiums.
The BRDC British Formula 3 Championship was re-branded as the GB3 Championship in August 2021 and in 2022 Hillspeed became category race winners. In 2023, Hillspeed won no fewer than five races in GB3.
