The UK's premier single-seater category
Hillspeed has been part of the GB3 Championship, formerly known as the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship, since the first season in its current guise in 2016 – the squad being one first teams to confirm its involvement in the new era of top line F3 racing in Britain.
Becoming podium finishers in the squad’s second season in the UK’s national F3 category, in 2018 Hillspeed’s outstanding driver development was confirmed when Sasakorn ‘Cutter’ Chaimongkol and Jusef Owega ended the season as the top two rookies.
The following year, Nico Varrone became a race winner with Hillspeed at Spa in Belgium – only his fifth race in the series – and Chaimongkol achieved his first victory at Silverstone GP Circuit. In 2020, Oliver Clarke starred in his debut F3 season with multiple podiums.
BRDC British F3 was re-branded as the GB3 Championship in August 2021 and in 2022 Hillspeed became category race winners again. In 2023, the team took no fewer than five race victories and remains one of the series’ most professional and successful entrants.
