Hillspeed Builds For 2024: Team Confirms It Will Field Own Drivers In GB3

Hillspeed today, Wednesday, 3rd January, announces it will return to selecting its own drivers in the GB3 Championship partnered by the BRDC this year – and the multiple race-winning Markham Vale team is currently preparing for the 2024 campaign.

Following an excellent season last year in the UK’s premier single-seater motor racing category, where the team secured no fewer than five victories, Hillspeed is striving for continued success this season as it takes driver signings back in-house.

In 2023, Hillspeed’s cars were occupied with drivers placed with the team through the Hitech Academy. It was anticipated the collaboration between the two parties would continue into the New Year, but this will no longer be the case.

Having been testing solidly throughout the post-season autumn and winter months, Hillspeed’s proven cars and experienced engineers and mechanics are ready to forge ahead throughout 2024 as drivers are evaluated for the coming 24-race calendar.

Richard Ollerenshaw – Hillspeed Team Principal:
“We would like to thank everyone who was involved with the project last season, it brought both the drivers and team success – which is what we always want to achieve. Hillspeed now moves into 2024 looking to fill our seats with talented, aspiring drivers who we can help in their career development in one of the most competitive and exciting single-seater championships in the world.”

The eagerly-awaited new GB3 Championship season will begin with its traditional Easter weekend event, between 30th March and 1st April, at Oulton Park International Circuit in Cheshire alongside the British GT Championship.

Then featuring a run of five race meetings at Formula One venues, visits to Silverstone, Spa-Francorchamps, the Hungaroring, Zandvoort and a second trip to Silverstone, the season concludes in September with dates at Donington Park GP and Brands Hatch GP.

Hillspeed welcomes enquiries from drivers seeking to be part of the UK’s top single-seater category, whether climbing the ladder from karting, GB4 of Formula 4, or indeed those with GB3 or Formula 3 level experience seeking a team with which to push forward and further develop their careers.
